H.S. Golf Roundup: Gloversville drops two matches

QUEENSBURY – The Gloversville golf team lost to Queensbury and Glens Falls on Monday in a Foothills Council match at Glens Falls Country Club.

The Huskies lost 162-194 to Queensbury and 164-194 to Queensbury.

Josh Fonda led Gloversville with a 37, while Justin Putnam posted a 48. Kyle Johnston had a 51 for the Huskies and Anthony Ponticello had a 58.

Josh Bonn led Queensbury with a 37, while Alex Hearley had a 40. Colin Gaunt registered a 42 for the Spartans and Alex Kinney had a 43.

Alex Gibson paced Glens Falls with a 35, while Pat Burton posted a 41. Pat Round had a 43 for the Indians and Alex Wright added a 45.


Saratoga Catholic 11, Northville-Mayfield 4

NORTHVILLE – Drew Welcome and Kayla Szekely each finished with rounds of 40 to lead Saratoga Central Catholic to a win over Northville-Mayfield at Sacandaga Golf Club.

Jordon Fordyce led Northville-Mayfield with a round of 39.

LaSalle 170, Amsterdam 175

AMSTERDAM – Ben Gardenier finished with a round of 40, leading LaSalle to a win over Amsterdam at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course.

Liam Baynes and Blake Gordon each had rounds of 43 for the Cadets, while Matt Arnold posted a 44.

Marc LaBahn led Amsterdam with a 40, while James Phelps carded a 43.

Kevin Ottati posted a 45 for the Rams, while Jon LaBahn had a 47.
