H.S Golf Roundup: Patriots, Sir Bills score Foothills wins

BROADALBIN – Broadalbin-Perth’s Sean Craig and South Glens Falls’ Clark Leonelli tied for match medalist honors with rounds of 38 as Broadalbin-Perth notched a 163-172 Foothills Council victory Wednesday at Holland Meadows Golf Course.

Alex Bond shot a 41, while Brett Getman and Noah Scott both carded 42’s for the Patriots (3-3 Foothills, 4-3 overall).

A.J. Harper had a 43 for the Bulldogs, while Andrew Patterson shot 45 and Ryan Mahardy 46.

Johnstown 164, Glens Falls 174

GLENS FALLS – Johnstown’s Chris Geleta shot a round of 38 to lead the Sir Bills to the Foothills Council victory.

Stephen Russo carded a 42, Richie Lee 42 and Michael Brown and Ben Wager 43 to round out the Johnstown scoring.

Alex Gibson led Glens Falls with his round of 42, while Pat Burton and Eric Goldstein shot 43 and Pat Round 46.

Queensbury 165, Gloversville 186

GLOVERSVILLE – The Huskies Josh Fonda led all golfers with his round of 36 at Pine Brook Golf Club Wednesday.

Fonda was joined by Justin Putnam’s 46, Anthony Ponticello’s 49 and Kyle Johnston’s 55.

Alex Kinney led Queensbury with his round of 40, while Alex Hearley turned in a 41 and Josh Bonn and Colin Gaunt both carded 42.

AMSTERDAM – Dennis Ziamandanis carded a 40 to lead the Blackbirds to victory Wednesday at Rolling Hills Country Club.

Tommy Gallager turned in a 44, Willie Gallager a 47, Trevor McHugh 52, Kristian Sing 55 and Ronny Hoagkamp 60 to round out the Voorheesville scoring.

Adam DeSorbo led Fonda-Fultonville with his round of 43, while Luke Calkins shot 46, Tony Angioli 48, Justin Galusha and Jack Mulyca 54 and Dom Mancini 59.

SCHENECTADY – The Rams’ James Phelps earned match medalist honors with his round of 36, while Marc LaBahn carded a 38, Corey Tambasco 39 and Jon LaBahn 42 for the conference victory.

Notre Dame-bishop Gibbons was paced by Daniel Jameson’s 43, followed by Michael Mattice’s 44, Michael Belcher’s 48 and Victoria Maddalone’s 50.
