Broadalbin police officer honored
BROADALBIN – Retiring Police Officer William G. Ferry II was recognized at a recent village board meeting for his 25 years of service to the village.
Mario Cristaldi, newly appointed trustee and police and public health and safety commissioner, presented Ferry with a certified copy of a resolution honoring Ferry.
The resolution was adopted by the village board at a June 20 meeting.
The resolution said Ferry, “by his dedication and concern, did contribute in making the village of Broadalbin a better place in which to live; and … the members of this Board of Trustees are grateful to William G. Ferry II for his many years of dedicated service.”
The resolution said the village board “does hereby thank William G. Ferry II for his many years of faithful, honest, dedicated and competent service to the people of the village of Broadalbin; and, be it further resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the village of Broadalbin, by this resolution, joins with all the people of the village of Broadalbin in wishing him a long, healthy and happy retirement.”
