Storytelling series set at Crossing site

FORT?HUNTER?- Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site will host the 22nd annual summertime storytelling series, “Not Just for Kids,” on Sundays through September.

Performances will begin at 6 p.m. at the Schoharie Crossing Visitor Center, 129 Schoharie St.

The schedule of storytellers is as follows:

– July 28 – Beth Horner, “From Tabouli to Cremation: The Razor Sharp Workings of my Mother’s Mind.”

-?Aug. 4 – Sandy Schuman, “The Goldarnest Liar and the Great American Hoax.”

-?Aug. 11 – Baba Jamal Koram, “The Glass-Eyed Grandfather and Two Old Ladies of Greenburgh.”

-?Aug. 18 – Norah Dooley, “Mary Read: Pirate and Cross Dresser, Tales of the People who sailed in the Golden Age of Piracy, and the Wonders of the Seven Seas.”

-?Aug. 25 – Karen Pillsworth, “Come Home with Me: Stories of Life, Live and Letting Go.”

-?Sept. 8 – Kate Dudding, “Women Who Made a Difference: True Stories about American Women.”

All the programs will be free and open to all. They will be held rain or shine.

Guests are asked to bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Schoharie Crossing.
