Caroline L. Hunt, the daughter of William and Ellen Hunt of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Michael R. Hart, the son of Sherri and Rich Hayes of Oppenheim, and Edward and Sue Hart of Smyrna, Tenn., on Aug. 11, 2012.

The ceremony took place at the First United Methodist Church on Genesee Street in New Hartford. The Rev. Stephen Deckard officiated. The bride was escorted by her father.

Megan Hunt and Christine Hunt, sisters of the bride, were the bride’s maids of honor. The bridal attendants were: Jackie Cromer of Gloversville, Alicia Elmendorf and Amanda Nellis, both of Johnstown; Brandie Jones of Las Vegas, N.V.; and Becky Crane of Weston, Conn. The flower girls were Lauren Smith and Reyna Hart, nieces of the groom.

Tom Getman of Lasselsville was the groom’s best man. The ushers were Ryan Hart, brother of the groom, of Dolgeville; Kyle Hayes, brother of the groom, of Oppenheim; Chris Reich and Mark Nellis, both of Johnstown; Hiram Moore Jr. of Canajoharie; and Jason Snell of St. Johnsville. The ringbearer was Dylan Hart, son of the groom.

Michael and Dorothy Frye-Hunt, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, composed and performed music for the ceremony. Christopher Jenny of Matthews, N.C., and Daniel Jenny of Waynesboro, Va., both uncles of the bride, were readers for the ceremony.

A reception for 120 guests took place at the Hart’s Hill Inn, in Whitesboro.

The couple resides in Fulton County.
