Man pleads guilty in June assault case
FONDA – A 19-year-old pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court on Wednesday to assault for cutting someone with a box cutter.
Angel L. Morales, of 39 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault.
The incident took place June 15 in Amsterdam.
Morales will be sentenced Sept. 3 to three years in state prison and two years of post-release supervision, officials said.
In other court action Wednesday:
Raymond E. Conniff III, 19, whose address was listed as the Amsterdam Valley View Motel, was sentenced to six months in the county jail, five years of probation, $728 for restitution and 100 hours of community service.
He pleaded guilty to third-degree robbery on May 22.
The robbery occurred in the Joe’s Market parking lot in January, officials said.
- Travis R. Carruth, 25, of 54 Academy St., Amsterdam, was sentenced to six months in jail and five years of probation. Carruth pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted burglary on May 22 after he was caught with a stolen aluminum radiator from an Elk Street factory.
Steven E. Burke, 22, of 8 Krull St., Amsterdam, was sentenced to six months in jail and five years of probation.
He pleaded guilty May 13 to third-degree burglary.
John G. Doxtader, 28, of 114 W. Main St., St. Johnsville, was sentenced to six months in jail and five years of probation.
He pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary March 14.
