Fireworks were fantastic
The fireworks in Johnstown the night of June 29 were fantastic. A crowd of more than 6,000 people were entertained by the local band Flame, from Lexington Center. The LifeNet Helicopter made an appearance for people to tour before the main event – the fireworks. The display was presented by Tom Cristano of Alanzo Fireworks.
This was a free community event provided through community donations and sponsored by The Johnstown Area Community Center.
It was the first time, in more than 30 years, such an event was held at Knox Field.
It was a shame there was no coverage by The Leader-Herald during this night.
