Supervisors to adopt college budget
JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to adopt Fulton-Montgomery Community College’s proposed $18.6 million 2013-14 budget at its meeting starting at 1 p.m. Monday at the County Office Building.
Action is expected later in the session, after a public hearing on the budget at 1:30 p.m.
FMCC is requesting no increase in the counties’ sponsor contributions for the sixth consecutive year. The budget calls for a tuition increase of $154 per year per student. A reduction in the health fee and student activity fee somewhat offsets that, so students will actually pay only $74 more for the academic year.
Supervisors are also expected to recognize former FMCC Trustee Larry Peck, whose term expired June 30. His replacement will be appointed by Montgomery County.
