Compassion shown after Dad’s death
On behalf of my entire family I would like to thank everyone for their support, generosity and pure show of compassion and love as we dealt with the very sudden passing of my father, Bill Anagnostopulos.
Eight years ago when we lost the first Winner’s Circle to a fire we were speechless and truly grateful for all of the support we received then. Now, as we stood side by side at the funeral home and were consoled by so many of you, we felt blessed to have so many caring people in our lives. We hope you all know how very much your caring has helped each of us. We appreciate all of the cards, food, donations in Dad’s name, phone calls, well wishes and help with everything.
We need to thank our employees, who, as always, have been there for us. We could never make it day to day without you. Thank you to everyone who made food donations and worked the gathering after the service; and to Lou and Eric Romano and TJ’s Pizzeria for putting it all together. It truly was a show of support.
On a personal note, I would like to thank our friends for their help with everything we had to deal with over the last few weeks. And a special thank you to my children’s friends. Who would’ve thought 16- to 21-year-olds could be so compassionate, caring and helpful during such an awful time? You all stood by my kids, and I can’t thank you enough.
Dad will be truly missed. The grumpy old man with the heart of gold won’t be there to greet you at the door. But, 18 years ago when we started this restaurant, the one thing we wanted was not to have a bar, but a family restaurant. Rest assured he accomplished that. Thank you all for being part of the Winner’s Circle family.
