Son charged in woman’s death
EPHRATAH – A 29-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his mother, Fulton County District Attorney Louise Sira said.
Gwenda L. Lisman, 57, was found Monday by a neighbor at Lisman’s home at 227 Mud Road, authorities said.
Officials late Monday afternoon were looking for her son James F. Dibble, who was last seen driving Lisman’s 1997 green Mercedes, officials said.
Authorities later found him and charged him, Sira said.
Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey said Dibble and his mother may have been arguing over money.
Authorities would not say how Lisman died. Officials said Lisman’s house was in disarray when law-enforcement officials went through it Monday.
Authorities were planning to release more information later today.
