Two auxiliary members also need kudos

We recently read the article “County honors auxiliary” about those who have spent years serving the residents of the former Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility.

We would like to add to your story the names of two women – Beverly Williams, who has been a member of the former Fulton County Residential Health Care Facility Auxiliary since its inception, and Mary Morgan who also has been a long-term member. Both these women have dedicated themselves to making the lives of the residents more comfortable.

We are pleased that the Fulton County Board of Supervisors has chosen to recognize the efforts of the auxiliary and its many years of service. Having been members for just a short time, we do not know many of the past activities directors.

However, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of Donna Mowrey and Joanne Wylie who consistently met with auxiliary members and kept them informed regarding resident needs. Not to be overlooked are the members of the activities staff who patiently work with the residents to improve residents’ lives and provide interesting and entertaining activities on a daily basis.

While the auxiliary provided many items over the years, it is the activities directors and their staff members who ensured these items were appropriate and available for use by the residents.

Many thanks to Supervisors William Waldron and Ralph Ottuso for bringing the services of the auxiliary to the attention of the board and the public.
