Heritage group gets grant to help seniors with repairs
GLOVERSVILLE – The Fulton County Community Heritage Corp. has announced the receipt of a grant for $50,000 from the New York State Office of Community Renewal to help elderly homeowners with emergency home repairs.
The program will allow the organization to offer grants of up to $5,000 per property to lower-income elderly homeowners in Fulton County for emergency repairs.
The program is only available for Fulton County properties owned and occupied by people ages 60 and older, according to a news release.
Funds are limited to $5,000 per project and can be used only for emergency repairs, the news release said.
