Kate Foss, daughter of Chris and Leslie Foss of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Jeff Deery, son of Eugene and Jeanne Deery of Elmira, on Aug. 25, 2012.
The ceremony and reception took place at New Park, Ithaca, and was officiated by James Varricchio. The bride was escorted by her parents.
The bridal attendants were Shayna Foss, sister of the bride, of Johnstown; Melanie Hamm, of Alington, Va.; Jenny Deery, sister of the groom, of Sacramento, Calif.; Brenda Smyth of Elmira; and Lydia Hackenberg of Malvern, Pa.
Emily Fleming, cousin of the bride, did a reading of “A Lovely Love Story.”
The groomsmen were Michael Hackenberg of Malvern, Pa.; Robert Stephenson of Elmira; Kurt Pijanowski of Hamlin, N.Y.; Steve Hamilton of Corning, N.Y.; and Dustin Tingue of Buffalo.
A reception for 160 guests was held at the park.
A wedding trip was to Antigua.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 2008 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design. She is employed as a display artist at Urban Outfitter, Cambridge, Mass.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Southside High School, Elmira, and a 2004 graduate of Cazenovia College, Madison County, with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. He is employed as a global account specialist by Avery Dennison, Boston.
They reside in Quincy, Mass.
