Ossenfort backed for county post

FONDA The Montgomery County Republican Committee endorsed Amsterdam resident Matt Ossenfort for the new county executive position Thursday night, Ossenfort said today.

Ossenfort, 32, president of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, said he is “excited about bringing a fresh perspective and youth to our county.”

Among Ossenfort’s previous work experience, he served as chief of staff for former Assemblyman George Amedore for five years.
