Barbara Day

Barbara Day, 86, of Gloversville, N.Y., passed away on April 10, 2013, at home with her family.

Barbara was an avid knitter, her “award winning” mittens and baby sweaters have kept friends and family warm for years. She also enjoyed horse racing, garage sales and spending time with family and loved the all night pictionary games. She will be remembered for her kind heart, joyful spirit, optimism, determination and most of all her sense of humor.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Royal and Sally Grace; her grandchildren, Douglas Royal and Joy, Leslie Dutcher (Ronald), Christopher Royal, Kristin Warner (Mark), Jack Grace (Jade), Laura David (Jim), Jessica Yager (David), Angela Jablonski (Matt), Jenny Hart (Roy) along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her sister-in-law, Betty Tabor.

Barbara was predeceased by her long time companion, Anthony Javinett; her son, Jack Day and his wife, JoAnn; granddaughter-in-law, Bethann; and her brother, Walt Tabor.

Barbara had chosen to donate her body to Albany Medical Center College through their anatomical gift program and requested no formal services. A small family gathering was held. Memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or any local animal shelter.
