Cassandra Lee Murphy, the daughter of Kevin and Deborah Murphy of Gloversville, was united in marriage to Dr. Adam Kenneth Cloud, the son of Delbert and Marion Cloud of East Randolph, Vt., on Aug. 31, 2012.

The ceremony took place aboard the Hartford Belle on the Connecticut River in Hartford. Dr. Steven Vets of Portland, Ore., officiated. Tim Veeder of New York City, saxophonist, provided the music for the ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Church Owens of Pitman, N.J., cousin of the bride.

The best man was Frederick Hyde of South Randolph.

The couple hosted their reception at the Vivo Restaurant, Hartford.

A wedding trip took place on Cat Island in the Bahamas. The couple resides in Cromwell, Conn.

The bride, who is a 1998 graduate of Gloversville High School, received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2002 from the State University of New York at Potsdam, St. Lawrence County. She also is a 2008 graduate of Medaille College with a master of business administration degree. She is the executive director of the New England Health Care Employees’ Welfare and Pension Funds.

The bridegroom, a 1991 graduate of Randolph Union High School, Vermont, received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Johnson State College in 1994 and is a 2006 graduate of the University of Vermont’s College of Medicine. He is a vascular surgeon at Hartford Hospital.
