State GOP chairman to speak at event
PERTH – New York State Republican Committee Chairman Edward F. Cox will be the guest speaker at the 29th Annual Fulton County Republican Chairman’s Club Dinner on Monday.
In addition, Thomas Doherty, who works for Mercury Public Affairs, will be the keynote speaker, a news release said.
The dinner will take place at the Raindancer Restaurant on Route 30. The event begins at 6 p.m.
Cox has served three U.S. presidents, four governors and the Republican Party at the state and national levels, and has been the GOP’s chairman since September 2009, the news release said.
Doherty served in the Pataki administration. He also served Eastchester as a councilman and was recognized by the New York Times for his efforts to consolidate government and make it more efficient, the news release said. At Mercury, he helps lead public-affairs campaigns focused on New York government and business decision-makers.
