School board sets meeting at Knox
JOHNSTOWN – The Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education will consider adopting a $29.9 million 2013-14 district budget at its meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Knox Junior High School.
The board hasn’t made a decision on the level of tax-levy increase yet, but it is expected to be below the state’s 8.8 percent levy cap imposed on the district.
The board will conduct a public budget hearing at 6:30 p.m. May 7 in the Johnstown High School Lecture Hall. District voters are slated to vote on the budget May 21.
In other business Wednesday, the board is slated to hear a report from Superintendent Robert DeLilli in which tuition rates and the Johnstown School Museum’s annual report will be discussed.
