FMCC baseball swept by Herkimer

JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team lost both ends of Sunday’s doubleheader with Herkimer County Community College.

Herkimer won the first game 6-1 and the second 17-3.

In the first game, Ryan Watson was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI for Herkimer. Chris Burns and Dan Smith each had two hits for the Generals.

Fort Plain graduate Dylan Pechtel had two hits for FMCC.

In the second game, Carlos Almonte had two doubles and four RBIs as part of a 3-for-4 effort for Herkimer.

Fort Plain graduate Brent Baker was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Generals, while Lonnie Cohen was 2-for-4. Dan Smith added four RBIs for the Generals.

Donnie March had two hits for FMCC, while Pechtel had two RBIs.
