Nethaway, Hoagboon help Albany earn split

ALBANY – Fonda-Fultonville graduate Josh Nethaway and Mayfield graduate D.J. Hoagboon helped the University at Albany baseball team split a doubleheader with Hartford on Saturday.

Albany won the first game of the doubleheader 23-8 before losing the second game 11-5.

In the first game, Nethaway went 3-for-4 with a double, solo home run, two RBIs and two runs scored, while Hoagboon scored a run for the Great Danes.

In the second game, Nethaway was 1-for-5 with an RBI, while Hoagboon scored a run.

Albany (15-16-1 overall) will host Hartford today at 1 p.m.
