Johnstown group plans special trips
JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Senior Center alumni just held their annual Spring Bazaar on April 13. The center would like to thank the community for its support, a news release said. It was reported the day was a big success, the release said. This year, the release said, participants introduced a breakfast selection which went very well.
On?Sunday, the club will hold a social Sunday. A group also will be meeting at Sams for a dinner together. Participants must have signed up at the center to attend.
On Thursday, the club will host its soup and sandwich day. Attendees should bring their sandwich and the center will provide the soup to go with it, the release said. Lunch will be at 12:30 p.m.
The scheduled trips are filling very quickly and some are already full. People should stop by soon if they are interested in going on one or more trips. The trip to Ocean City, Md., has only two seats left; if anyone is still interested in going, call very soon.
A men’s trip is also scheduled for June 12. The group will be going to Utica for a luncheon at the Radison. After lunch, they will be touring the Utica Brewery. There are also a few seats left for the all you can eat seafood buffet scheduled for June 19.
It has been reported that the Johnstown Senior Golf League will start May 1 at 9 a.m. at Holland Meadows. For further information, call Jann Dickson at (315) 717-5091. New members are welcome.
The Women’s Bocce league will also be coming together soon. Women should sign up now for the summer games. The group will have its first planning luncheon July 9 and start the games July 16.
