Rams unhittable in win over Gibbons

AMSTERDAM – The Amsterdam Rams’ pitchers were unhittable in doubleheader action Saturday at Shuttleworth.

Zach Dufel and Kolbie Glionna combined for a no-hitter in the opening game of the Big 10 doubleheader, while Julian Gallup and Dylan Angelo combined for a rain-shortened, ficve-inning perfect game in the night cap.

The Rams racked up 22 runs and 22 hits in the 22-2 opening game victory.

Andrew rouse went 4-for-4 with a double and three singles, Jason Agresta was 3 for 3 and Ayden Healy added a home run and a double. Rob Sherlock contritued two doubles while Gallup had a double and a single.

Dufel and Glionna both struck out seven batters in the opening game.

Amsterdam scored 13 runs on 11 hits in the night cap for the rain-shortened 13-0 perfect game win.

Gallup recorded nine strike outs in four innings of work, while Angelo struck out two in relief.

Gallup connected for a triple and a double in the game, while Glionna had a double and a single and Jonardy Anil, Dufel and Dan renwick had two singles apiece.
