Nellie Bujanowski DaBiere
Nellie Bujanowski DaBiere, 97, formerly of John Street, Tribes Hill, N.Y., passed away Friday morning April 12, 2013, at the River Ridge Living Center, LLC.
Born on August 4, 1915, a daughter of the late John and Sophie Silok Bujanowski.
She was a lifelong area resident and attended the former St. Stanislaus Catholic School in Amsterdam and later St. Adalbert’s Catholic School in Schenectady. She was a homemaker and took wonderful care of her family. She loved to cook and bake for her family and was a wonderful seamstress.
Nellie was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Tribes Hill and enjoyed going to Bingo and spending time with her family.
She married Anthony DaBiere Sr. on August 26, 1934. He passed away on November 9, 1996. Nellie is survived by two sons, Richard (Loretta) DaBiere and Anthony (Connie) DaBiere of Tribes Hill, NY. One daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Norman) Duell of Tribes Hill, NY. She is survived by six grandchildren, Richard DaBiere Jr., Brigette DaBiere, Ashley DaBiere, Nicole Duell, Norman Duell and Kristin Duell. One great-granddaughter, Cecilee DaBiere. A half-sister, Bernadette Traskos of Schenectady, NY. Her dear friend, Catherine Mancini Yax of Barneveld, NY. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her sister, Lucy Town of Oriskany, NY. One brother, John Bujanowski of Amsterdam, one half-brother, Edward Brown of Schenectady, NY and a half sister, Joan Hinckley of Schenectady, NY
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Tribes Hill, N.Y., with Father Patrick Gallagher OFM CONV as celebrant. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, N.Y. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday April 15, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, N.Y.
