Police: Man led officers on chase
GLOVERSVILLE – City police said officers arrested a man Sunday after he led them on a chase before hitting a utility pole guide wire and fleeing on foot.
James M. Little, 30, of 348 Sumpter St., Brooklyn, was charged Sunday with reckless driving, failure to comply, failure to obey traffic-control devices, moving from a lane unsafely, imprudent speed, speeding in a speed zone, unlicensed operator, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent, resisting arrest, and two counts for passed red light and improper signal.
Police said Little was arrested after a short pursuit that started on Spring Street and traveled across Elm Street onto Bleecker Street.
Little struck a utility pole guide wire at the intersection of Bleecker and Grand streets, where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot before being apprehended, police said.
Little was arraigned in City Court before Judge Antonik and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
