State auditors check town of Stratford
STRATFORD – The supervisor’s records must be complete, accurate and up-to-date, the state Comptroller’s Office said in a recently released audit of the town.
The state Comptroller’s Office gave the town a clean bill of fiscal health in the audit, but suggested steps be taken to double check the town supervisor’s budget.
According to the audit, no evidence was found in the 2011 and 2012 Town Board minutes an audit had occurred for the 2010 and 2011 fiscal years.
The Town Board adopted the necessary resolution to implement the corrections and thanked the comptroller’s office for their help, according to audit documents.
