New Process Cleaners invests in new equipment
JOHNSTOWN – New Process Cleaners invested in two new new pieces of equipment this month.
The Union dry cleaning machine, which uses Kreussler’s System K4 organic solvent, and a new Sankosha shirt press machine were brought in to the cleaner at 115 N. Market St. on March 1.
“It is much safer and better for the environment,” owner Joel Bien-Aime said of the new solvent. “We got rid of the old supposedly toxic solvent and replaced it with this new organic solvent. The quality is better. Whites are coming out brighter. The clothes are softer. In my opinion, it’s one of the best products on the market at this time.”
Bien-Aime said the public is welcome to visit his business and check out the new machines.
“We want to do our part to invest in the community. When the state said the old solvent was bad, we went out in search of the best and consulted with the Department of Environmental Conservation and talked to experts in the business.”
Bien-Aime said the cleaner went from a first- generation shirt press to a seventh-generation shirt press with its new machine.
New Process also owns Pakena’s Cleaners at 110 Brookside Ave., Amsterdam.
