Child recovering from injuries
ALBANY – A 2-year-old involved in the March 10 car accident in Amsterdam that claimed the lives of two adults and one child is recovering.
Naomi Sleight has been listed in fair condition, according to staff at the Albany Medical Center on Friday.
Elijah Sleight, 9, and Naomi Sleight were sent to Albany in critical condition following a head on collision that killed Tanya Sleight, 33, and Chyara Concepcion, 39.
Another sibling, Matthew Sleight, 7, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Elijah Sleight died Monday from his injuries.
David Bain, 68, was driving east in a van. Authorities said Bain’s van crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with the other vehicle. Authorities said eyewitnesses reported Bain was driving erratically just before the crash.
A person was about to call 911 when the accident occurred, authorities said.
