Man sentenced after pushing woman
JOHNSTOWN – A Gloversville man has been sentenced to up to three years prison after violating an order of protection and pushing a woman out a door.
Lewis H. Buseck of 76 Homestead Drive, who was 47 when he was arrested in May, was sentenced under a plea arrangement Jan. 31 to 1 1/2 to 3 years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony count of criminal contempt in front of Judge Polly A. Hoye in Fulton County Court.
Buseck was charged with criminal contempt and assault by Gloversville police after they said he pushed a woman out a door, causing her to fall down stairs and suffer injury. At the time, he was violating two orders of protection that the woman had secured, police said.
Buseck was sentenced as a second felony offender because of a previous incident in the last 10 years. In addition, a new order of protection was filed against him, expiring in 2018.
