Woman sentenced for stabbing person
JOHNSTOWN – A Gloversville woman was sentenced to time served and probation after admitting she stabbed somebody with a knife during a domestic dispute.
Darla H. Wood of 27 Orchard St., who was 51 when she was charged in September, was sentenced to time served and five years of probation by Fulton County Court Judge Polly A. Hoye on Jan. 29 after pleading guilty earlier to attempted assault.
Wood initially was charged with felony assault and disorderly conduct after the September incident, in which Gloversville police said she stabbed a person in the arm with a knife and wouldn’t stop yelling obscenities when police arrived.
The victim was treated and released from Nathan Littauer Hospital, police said.
