Woman to get jail for larceny charge

MAYFIELD – A Montgomery County woman who authorities said stole from her former employer is slated to be sentenced in Town Court this month to jail time and restitution.

Lynn M. Montville, 40, of 85 1/2 Lafayette St., Palatine Bridge, is slated to be sentenced March 19.

Sentencing will based on a plea arrangement in Town Court in which she pleaded guilty Jan. 15 to a reduced count of petit larceny, Fulton County District Attorney Louise Sira said Tuesday.

Sira said Montville is slated to receive eight weekends in the county jail, three years’ probation, and restitution of $2,643 to Herba Motor Co., Route 30, where she worked.

Fulton County sheriff’s deputies charged Montville in September. She was accused of altering business records and stealing money from Herba. She originally was charged with felony counts of fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records.
