Anderson to serve as board vice chair

GLOVERSVILLE – The city Planning Board elected James Anderson as its new vice chairman at its meeting Feb. 5.

Board member John Castiglione recommended Anderson for the position, and the appointment was unanimously approved by the board.

Anderson, as vice chairman, would preside over meetings in the event that Chairman William Ferguson is unable to attend.

In other Planning Board news, it decided to delay discussion of a use variance for the West Fulton Street Sunoco gas station near McNab Elementary School.
