Board of Education sets date for vote

GLOVERSVILLE – The Gloversville Enlarged School District Board of Education approved the date for the annual school budget and school board vote for May 21 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters within the district will be voting on the budget for the 2013-14 fiscal year and for the three board positions that are set to expire.

The school election districts will be Park Terrace School, Boulevard School, McNab School, Kingsborough School, Meco School and Bleecker.

Three positions on the school board will be put to voters. Those spots are currently held by Joseph Andrews, Robert Curtis and Frank Carangelo.

Curtis and Andrews both said Tuesday they plan to run for another term on the board.

Carangelo was unavailable for comment.
