Mrs. Margaret Auricchio of Gloversville, N.Y., passed away peacefully at Nathan Littauer Hospital on Thursday, January 17, 2013. The daughter of the late John and Julia Kavolcik Good, she was born in Edwardsville, Pa. on February 24, 1922.
Margaret attended school in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania. She then served in the Women’s Army Corps in Florida. She moved to Gloversville in 1950 and worked for some time at the Winig Slipper Company. She is of the Catholic faith and a parishioner of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She loved ceramics, needle point and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed the company of her dog. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include: her husband, Albert P. Auricchio, whom she wed on January 18, 1950; sons, Albert A. Auricchio (Michele) of Scotia and Robert Auricchio of Syracuse; a daughter, Margaret Palloni of Gloversville; grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Andrew, Albert, Mike, Casie, Chris and Cody. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Johnstown in the Spring.
